Ronald Schulman

Ron is the founder and principal of Best Development Group LLC, a New York City–based financial consulting and development advisory firm serving owners and developers of affordable housing projects.
Since 2006, he has led the development and closing of 58 projects representing $3.2 billion in total development costs for clients and partners. These efforts have resulted in the creation or rehabilitation of 7,896 affordable housing units, primarily in the Bronx.
He specializes in feasibility analysis, rezonings, tax-exempt bond financing, low-income housing tax credit applications, construction lending, and permanent financing.
Earlier in his career, he served as vice president at the New York State Housing Finance Agency, director of real estate for Urban Development Group, LLC, and vice president at JPMorgan Chase.
Ron earned an MA in Urban Planning and a BA in Urban Studies from Hunter College.
