Steven V. Dubin
Media Relations/
Communications Strategist
Steven V. Dubin, president of PR Works, brings deep experience in journalism,
marketing, and strategic communications. He began his career as a sports reporter covering the Boston Celtics for the New Bedford Standard-Times, sharing the same rookie year as Larry Bird.
He went on to hold editorial and marketing roles across multiple publishing
organizations, including Massachusetts-based Mariner Newspapers, developing a
strong grasp of how to shape stories that meet both audience and media needs. Steve’s approach is rooted in a clear principle: effective media coverage is a win-win. Stories must be timely and relevant—delivered in a way that makes them easy for editors to use and meaningful for their audiences.
In addition to his professional work, Steve has held several leadership roles in the
business community. He is the founding president of the South Shore Ad Club and founding director of The Leads Network, a B2B lead generation organization. He serves on communications committees for the South Shore Chamber of Commerce and the Massachusetts Extended Care Federation, and contributes to initiatives supporting entrepreneurship and innovation among older adults.
Steve has also led seminars and workshops on marketing and communications strategy for organizations including the Small Business Development Center at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, the Metro South Chamber of Commerce, and the New England Healthcare Assembly.
He is a cum laude graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications.
